This toby jug is medium sized and represents the Lord Mayor of London. He holds a declaration in one hand; the handle is a sceptre. Marked, "Genuine Staffordshire /Hand Painted /Shorter & Son Ltd. /England". Height: 7 in. Condition is good; there is one shallow but large chip on the brim of his hat which has been colored in (see photo #6). This condition is reflected in the price. This piece could also be used as a vase.
